What makes Marketing at Brighton University so remarkable?
As current marketing students, we want to show you.
Data from the 2018 National Student Survey. And the course leader is disappointed with this?!
On average there are more females then males on the course. A great thing for women in marketing!
That’s right, 80% of us passed our CIM assessments at the first attempt (against a CIM national average of 79%).
I would say the best thing about the degree is having the opportunity to work with ‘live’ clients on different projects from year one. This is great because you are given the freedom to think of a research idea, develop it and test it in the real world. Added to this, is the one-year industrial placement where you are given the opportunity to develop expertise in your specific field of study – for me this was a big motivation.
Working with clients and other students during my stay here has given me renewed confidence and focus, this is a refreshing departure from the person I was when I arrived here. I am now confident, commercially aware and I feel the course has equipped me with the right skill set required to take up any graduate marketing role. To anyone thinking of coming here, I would say this, get stuck in and throw yourself at every opportunity that comes your way and you won’t regret it."
